Wave drawing

I'd seen examples before showing the geometric relationship between a revolving circle and a sine-wave, then a friend of mine shared an animation of different shapes and the waves they would produce.  It got me to thinking... What if you reversed the process, and used a waveform to draw onto a revolving circle?  A few lines of code later, and with various controls to tinker with, and I came up with a wave drawing page...

Okay, so at first that doesn't look all that interesting. A sine-wave drawing onto a spinning wheel where the frequency of the wave matched the rotation speed of the wheel, just draws a circle, BUT alter the speed, or the position, or the waveform, and all sorts of interesting stuff happens.  Like these...
